Clay Building

Indigo Road Studio custom mixes high fired Stoneware clay and uses a combination of wheel thrown and hand building techniques.

Surface Design

After each piece is hand built or wheel thrown, pieces are trimmed, carved and underglaze details added that make each vessel a unique work of art.

Glazing

Because of Indigo Road Studio's surface design, Lindsey  brush glazes each piece so details can be considered.

Firing

Two separate firings are done to create each piece.  The first firing is a ‘bisque fire’ and the second a ‘glaze fire’, which reaches over 2,000 degrees Fahrenheit.  Some pieces are fired a third time to add luster details.  Each firing takes a full 24 hours to complete.
